ANIMAL OR MEAT, WHAT DO YOU SEE FIRST?

A 1.5m by 1m acrylic painting on canvas.

This is one of the most abstract pieces of my portfolio, with opposite colour schemes used to create an image of meat, not immediately obvious to the eye. Minimal strokes, with natural tones are then used to build a simplified portrait of a highland cow, layered over the meat. The carefully considered contrast, aims to portray how livestock have begun to fade as their own entity and are often only seen for the produce that can be acquired from them.

Please note, the original canvas is for sale but it can also be scaled down to create the perfect print!
